Aura is a USDC receiving connector your agent can install. Everything on this page works before you have an account; the guides at the bottom ask you to sign in.

Quickstart

  1. Create an account and a test key

Sign up, finish onboarding, and copy the key it reveals. Keys are minted as sk_test_… (test mode) or sk_live_…. Test mode moves no real money.
  2. Wire Aura into your project

One command installs the SDK, writes .mcp.json, .env.example, and AGENTS.md, and scaffolds a receive-and-split example.
    npx @aura-payments/cli init
npx @aura-payments/cli login # paste your sk_test_ key
  3. Connect your agent

Claude Desktop and other OAuth hosts take the connector URL directly — sign in, click Allow, no key handling. Hosts without a connector UI use the local MCP server.
    # OAuth connector (read-only tools)
    https://getaura.sh/api/mcp

    # or wire a host config with your key (full tool set)
    npx @aura-payments/cli mcp install
  4. Call the API

Every v1 endpoint takes a bearer key. State-changing calls take an idempotency key.
    curl https://getaura.sh/api/v1/wallets \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_test_your_key_here"

Packages

  • @aura-payments/cliTerminal: init a project, connect MCP hosts, run escrows.
  • @aura-payments/sdkTypeScript client for the v1 API (ESM + CJS).
  • @aura-payments/mcp-serverLocal MCP server — full tool set via an API key.
  • @aura-payments/sharedTypes and validation shared by the SDK and server.

Guides

These open in your dashboard, so they ask you to sign in first.
